A devoted and loving husband to his late wife Grace. A much loved father to his sons Derek, Mark, and Craig, and to his late daughter Yvonne.
A cherished father-in-law to their respective partners and the heart of a close and loving family.
He was also a proud grandfather and a treasured great grandfather, affectionately known as "Pops" - a name that perfectly captured the love, warmth, and gentle humour he shared so freely.
John will be fondly remembered. His kindness and devotion to his family were felt by all who knew him. He leaves behind generations of family who will miss him deeply and cherish his memory always.
The funeral service will take place at West Road Crematorium, Newcastle, on Thursday, 5th February 2026 at 2.00 p.m.
